Get ready, Southwest Georgia! The MCLB Albany Independence Day Celebration, presented by Albany State University, is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of patriotism, entertainment, and community spirit on July 4th.

This free event is open to the public and promises something for everyone, from live music and family-friendly activities to delicious food trucks and a spectacular fireworks finale.

➡️ Planet X Industries Takes Center Stage

Planet X Industries is proud to serve as the official production provider for this year’s celebration, delivering professional sound, staging, and entertainment production throughout the event.

Hosting the festivities will be none other than DJ Planet X, who will keep the energy high throughout the evening while serving as the event’s official Host and DJ. DJ Planet X will also take the stage alongside Charlie Thorn and the Thomas Merritt Band, helping create an exciting soundtrack for this incredible Independence Day celebration.

🎶 Entertainment Lineup

The evening kicks off at 5:30 PM when gates open, followed by an exciting lineup of entertainment including:

• Charlie Thorn performing live on the Main Stage at 6:00 PM

• Stroll Show at the Amphitheater at 6:15 PM

• Flame Twirler performance at 6:45 PM

• Magic Show on the Main Stage at 7:00 PM

• Additional Flame Twirler performance at 8:00 PM

• Thomas Merritt Band performing live on the Main Stage at 8:00 PM

• Evening Colors featuring a Mounted Color Guard at 8:45 PM

• A breathtaking Fireworks Display at 9:30 PM

Throughout the evening, guests can also enjoy stilt walkers, interactive entertainment, and family-friendly activities across the venue.

In addition, the Single Marine Program will offer affordable family-friendly food options, with select items starting at just $1.

Important Entry Information

‼️ As this event takes place aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, all visitors must meet access requirements.

‼️ Attendees ages 16–17 must present a valid ID, including school IDs.

‼️ All attendees 18 years of age and older must present a valid REAL ID or passport for entry. IDs will be scanned upon arrival, and all visitors are subject to a criminal history check.

➡️ What to Bring

Guests are encouraged to bring:

• Blankets

• Folding chairs

• Clear bags only

Limited bleacher seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

➡️ Prohibited Items

For the safety of all guests, outside food and beverages, coolers, alcohol, glass containers, shade tents, personal fireworks, drones, grills, pets, weapons, pepper spray, tasers, and other prohibited items will not be allowed.

➡️ Free Health Screenings

The Mobile Access Care Unit will provide complimentary blood pressure screenings from approximately 6:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
